  2. Very useful as a reference tool when looking for opportunities. My favorite is to trade off an Ending Diagonal, as the ensueing move is usually sharp and severe.

  6. Thanks A Ton for this simplified explanation of EW. Can you suggest an equally simplified reading material on EW in detail. Would be great if you can also suggest any particular charting software which helps in visual learning. Thanks Again.

  8. I have sophisticated Elliott Wave software that provides the highest probability wave count for any financial instrument. Send an email to me with the symbol that you would like to have analyzed and I'll email a chart back to you. The symbol must have daily data that I can get from Yahoo. This may be limited to US stocks, but I'm not certain. We're in this together!! JAShalvey@gmail.com

  13. Hi Rish,
I have been trying to learn this wonderful art of Elliot Wave pattern for some time. Your post has made it very simple for layman readers.
I have tried to study gold pattern; here is my analysis on which I sincerely seek your help.
The supercycle of gold is like this :-
    (a) Gold was in Wave-1 till Nov 2004 when it made a high of around 450 ( all values in USD).
(b)Wave 2 lasted six/seven months and it made a low of about 390.
    (c) Wave 3, the longest of all in terms of value rise ( and not time) took gold to a high of around 1040 in March 2008.
    (d) Wave 4 corrected gold to a low of 680 seen in Oct 2008.
    (d) Wave 5 took it to all time high of 1266 last month , ie Jun 2010.

If the above is true,( why I say so is because Silver has already made a high in 2008, and never got back to that level again; so looks like its done for gold two years later), then we are about to enter the bearish pahse of gold !! Surely this does not gel with the popular noises about gold getting to 2000 mark and may be more.It is too early o say bearish gold moves as of now.But if you look at monthly charts, most oscillators are showing negative divergence between the highs of 2008 and 2010. Gold has been going higher these two and a half years, but the indicators on monthly charts showing lower levels.

So if my prophecy about gold going bearish turns out true, I would probably be the first one to sound that!!.

Rish, may I have your comments please.
