acquisitions and orders raining for TCS

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has bagged a contract from US-based pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly to provide services in clinical data management, statistical analysis and medical writing for the US firm.According to the release issued by TCS, as per the agreement, the company will also establish a medical information sciences centre in Noida.

"The Lilly-TCS engagement will help us aggressively position as a full services player in the emerging life sciences and healthcare sector," N Chandrasekaran, executive VP, TCS, said Though TCS has not yet disclosed the size of the deal, analysts and investment bankers here said that the contract could be worth $35-40 million.The deal is TCS's second pharma outsourcing contract.
